Sankofa Academy Meeting

Sankofa Academy Meeting – First official meeting of mentors and mentees. Lecture by Jordan Bell.

An intergenerational approach to sharing cultural  knowledge about the African Diaspora with an emphasis on local storytelling.

The Sankofa Academy will be a community learning project. Young people will learn about the local history of their community from elders. There will be lectures, movies, field trips, and a Black History Month program to highlight all that has been learned. Open to all school aged students.
